Heart2Soul's mission is to educate, offer planning information and connect people. Heart2Soul is the resource to turn to when you need funeral-related education, planning and support. It's a place to learn about funeral traditions and etiquette, so you know what to say and do. Where you can show support to a family who is grieving. Where you can connect with family and friends near and far during a difficult time. And where you can find resources to help plan a funeral. We are not funeral directors. Our goal is to help family and friends find answers at a time when there are so many questions. And to educate everyone as they navigate their way through this difficult life event (collectively, the "Service"). In connection with the Service, we collect certain personal information from registered users. This information may include personal information such as name, address, city, state, ZIP code, phone, and email address.

Public Forums

Heart2Soul provides a public forum in which its users connect with each other. As such, this Site makes available to users and visitors to the Site (collectively, "Users") the ability to upload, post, and view comments ("Public Forums"). How we use User information

Choice/Opt-Out

During registration or thereafter you may be provided a choice whether to receive correspondence from either Heart2Soul or its affiliates or partners and whether you want to participate in a variety of Heart2Soul-sponsored programs or specials that may be offered from time to time. This information remains on your Profile where you can, at any point, easily edit it to indicate that you have changed your mind. If you purchase anything through Heart2Soul, we may occasionally contact you with information about special events, sales, and activities. You always have the option to ask Heart2Soul not to contact you with this information again. As for promotions, contests, submission opportunities and programs, you will not be included unless you opt-in.

Security

Generally

This Site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. This includes moderation of message boards and other public areas, a User record manager, and technical systems. Other than as set forth in this privacy policy, Heart2Soul does not collect User's personal information.

Retention

To preserve the integrity of our databases, standard procedure calls for us to retain information submitted by members for an indefinite length of time. Heart2Soul understands your submissions as consent to store all your information in one place for this indefinite length of time, if we so wish. If required by law, as is the case to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we will nullify member information by erasing it from our database. We will also respond to written member requests to nullify account information. Password Protection

Your Heart2Soul profile is password-protected so that only you and authorized Heart2Soul employees have access to your account information. In order to maintain this protection, do not give your password to anyone. If someone who represents to you they are Heart2Soul staff asks for any personal account information, including password, check their URL. If it doesn't say they are support@heart2soul.com, they're not. Also, if you share a computer, you should sign out of your Heart2Soul account and close the browser window before someone else logs on. This will help protect your information entered on public terminals from disclosure to third parties.

Limitations

Heart2Soul seeks to ensure that your information is secure on its system. Extremely sensitive information, like credit card numbers, is always transmitted in encrypted form. Only certain authorized Heart2Soul employees can access this information, and then only if it is relevant to their job duties. Heart2Soul has staff dedicated to maintaining this Privacy Policy and other privacy initiatives, periodically reviewing web security and making sure that every Heart2Soul employee is aware of our security practices. Updating/Editing your information

Heart2Soul believes strongly in giving you the ability to access and edit your personal information. To update your personal info, please sign in and visit your dashboard. There you can view, update and correct your account information. You may edit your profile at any time -- all you need is your username and password.

Our databases automatically update any personal information you edit in your profile, or that you request we edit. Information transmitted through boards, chats, polls or through any other means remains in our databases and become the property of Heart2Soul upon submission.

Child Protection

Heart2Soul is intended for people 18 or over. Our registration process is intentionally designed to identify children under 18 years of age. We have also made an effort to specifically limit Heart2Soul's appeal to people age 18 and older. Heart2Soul will not knowingly collect any information from children under 18.

If it comes to our attention that a member has revealed, on Heart2Soul, that they are under 18, a member of Heart2Soul's staff will immediately close their account.

Miscellaneous

Notification of changes

Heart2Soul's security and privacy policy are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary. This policy might change as Heart2Soul updates and expands its services. Heart2Soul will contact registered Users via email and will post notification if there are any material changes in its privacy practices.
